Privacy policy

App detection and accessibility
Blocking is optional. After your separate consent and Android permission grant, the accessibility service receives window-change events and compares app identifiers with your selections on this device. Events from other apps help it remove the puzzle when you leave a selected app. It does not retrieve screen contents, inspect event text, read passwords or messages, inject gestures, or keep a history of opened apps. Foreground identifiers are held temporarily in memory and are not transmitted by the blocker. The Leave app button performs Android's Home action at your request.
App selection and essential controls
The app reads launcher entries to display the picker and resolves home, phone, emergency, Settings and keyboard handlers to protect essential controls. Selections are local. No app is selected on a fresh installation. You can pause until you choose to resume, remove selections, withdraw consent, disable accessibility, or uninstall normally. These controls are free.
Data stored on your device
Private app storage contains your consent version and time, selected app identifiers, pause state, timer settings, per-app unlock deadlines, puzzle settings, purchased-category entitlements, challenge counts and category-level success/failure streaks. The app does not upload these settings or results to a developer server. They remain until changed, app storage is cleared, or the app is uninstalled. The app excludes its private data from Android cloud backup and device transfer.
Imported Anki decks
If you choose a deck through Android's file picker, the app reads that file and stores its name and supported text cards in private storage on this device. This may include personal information you put in your cards. Imported cards are not uploaded by the app. Temporary import files are removed after the import attempt; Android may retain cache files after an interrupted process until storage is cleared. Replacing a deck replaces the active local copy. Clearing app storage or uninstalling deletes the imported copy, but does not delete the original file you selected. A document provider you choose may download a cloud file under its own privacy policy.
Purchases and network access
Google Play processes optional puzzle purchases and payment information. The app receives purchase information needed to verify and acknowledge purchases and stores the unlocked categories locally. It does not receive your card details. The Google Play Billing SDK and its dependencies have internet/network-state access and may send billing-related diagnostics and technical data to Google. The blocker does not pass selected apps, accessibility events, puzzle answers, or imported cards to the billing SDK. Google processes data under its policies: https://policies.google.com/privacy . Clearing local storage does not erase Google's purchase records; purchases may be restored from Google Play.
Other services
The app has no developer account system, advertising SDK, or separate analytics/crash-reporting SDK. Optional external help links open in your browser; the destination's privacy policy applies. If you email support, your email provider and the developer receive what you send. Do not send passwords, payment details, or private study cards.
Your choices and deletion
Pause blocking from the main screen. Withdraw consent from Setup to stop the service. Use Android Settings to disable accessibility, clear app storage, or uninstall. Clearing storage also resets settings and downloaded entitlements; Google Play purchases can be restored. Contact the developer at the address above for privacy questions or deletion of information you sent directly to support. Android and Google Play may independently process security and diagnostic data under their own settings and policies.
Changes
This policy will be updated when data practices change. Changes to accessibility use require renewed in-app consent. Android may display security warnings even with this limited access.
